Science Night

Science Night at the Faculty of Transportation Sciences On Friday, 25 September 2026, the Faculty of Transportation Sciences will welcome the general public from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. as part of the popular nationwide event, Science Night. Visitors of all ages can look forward to an interactive programme at the faculty building at Horská 3 in Prague 2, as well as at our workplace in Děčín.

This year's Science Night theme is “Communication”. Visitors will experience first-hand how transportation and communication serve as key drivers of development in our society. They will meet members of the CTU Lions student racing team and see their powerful motorcycles up close. They can also talk with the Green Gliders team about their racing experiences and explore their energy-efficient electric vehicle. Visitors can look forward to the Transportation Hall, try the role of an air traffic controller, fly on a flight simulator, and discover the fascinating world of drones. On a vehicle simulator, they will experience what it is like to drive a truck or a car and become experts in traffic accident investigation.

Through fun activities, they will learn the basics of programming using robotic cars and test their creativity in a transport-themed workshop. This diverse programme has been prepared by our departments, the Institute of Forensic Expertise in Transport, and our Děčín workplace in cooperation with the Faculty's PR team. Admission and all activities are FREE of charge for visitors.

Please note that the flight simulator at the Horská campus has limited capacity. Reservations will be made at the Information Point upon arrival. However, we cannot guarantee that all interested visitors will have the opportunity to use the simulator.
