Cena Stanislava Hanzla udělena Ing. Janu Faltovi

Stanislav Hanzl Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement Also Presented to a Student of the Faculty of Transportation

On the occasion of International Students’ Day, the Czech Technical University in Prague awarded the Stanislav Hanzl Prize to its best students. The ceremonial presentation took place on 25 November 2025 in the Bethlehem Chapel during a concert of the Czech Academy of Engineering.

The award-winning students received their prizes from doc. Dr. Ing. Václav Liška, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the CTU Endowment Fund; doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Petráček, CSc., President of the Czech Academy of Engineering; and prof. Ing. Petr Zuna, CSc., D.Eng. h. c., Emeritus Rector of CTU.

The CTU Endowment Fund has long supported the development of high-quality technical education in line with the legacy of Emeritus Rector Prof. Stanislav Hanzl. Its activities focus primarily on modernising study programmes, enhancing compatibility with European technical universities, increasing student mobility, and internationalising curricula.

This year, a total of nine CTU students received the award for outstanding academic results and significant scientific and professional contributions.

One of the awardees was Ing. Jan Falta from the Faculty of Transportation Sciences at CTU, who has consistently demonstrated excellent academic performance and active involvement in the faculty’s professional and research activities.
