Stanislav Novotný

On 16 December 2025, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences at CTU in Prague elected doc. Ing. Stanislav Novotný, Ph.D., as Dean. After being appointed by the Rector, he will begin his first term in February 2026.

Out of the nineteen-member Academic Senate, ten senators voted in his favor.

“I thank the Academic Senate for their trust. I see it as a commitment to the entire faculty. My priorities will be open communication, support for high-quality teaching and research, and further development of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences as a modern and respected institution,” said Stanislav Novotný after his election.

Stanislav Novotný is a graduate of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences at CTU in Prague. He currently serves as Vice-Dean for Development and Construction, as well as an academic staff member and researcher in the fields of human–machine interaction, simulation techniques, transport systems, autonomous vehicles, and alternative automotive propulsion. He has long been engaged in applied research, team leadership, and the development of research infrastructure and projects in transportation and mobility.

As Vice-Dean, he is responsible for strategic investments, spatial planning, and building the faculty’s technological facilities. He participates in national and international projects and research activities in cooperation with the automotive industry (Škoda Auto, VW, etc.), public administration, and other institutions.
