Starting university is one of the most significant milestones in a young person’s life. As in previous years, the eFDrive Club therefore organised the UZEL orientation course for our incoming students to help make this transition easier and more enjoyable.
This year, the 14th UZEL orientation course took place from 17 to 20 September. The course offers incoming students a unique opportunity not only to meet their future classmates, but also to get to know their lecturers, senior students and professionals from the transport sector. As last year, the event was held in the picturesque surroundings of the Sázava River at the Masaryk Camp in Soběšín.
The packed programme included a variety of team-building activities centred around constructing a boat that ultimately had to prove itself on the local waters. All the teams passed the challenge with flying colours. In addition to many memorable experiences, the participants also gained valuable advice about their studies from senior students and lecturers.
We hope that the extended weekend spent within the faculty community helped ease at least some of the new students’ concerns about starting university. All that remains is to wish them every success as they embark on the 2026/2027 academic year.
