Extract from the Study and Examination Regulations of CTU in Prague - doctoral studies - article 26:

1. The ISP is the basic document of the individual professional education of a doctoral student studying in a doctoral study program. It is compiled by the doctoral student in agreement with the supervisor. The ISP is submitted to the ORO chairman for approval no later than one month after the start of the studies. Once approved, the ISP is binding.
2. The ISP defines the study block in terms of content and time according to Article 27 and the independent scientific research activity of the doctoral student, related to the solution of his dissertation according to Article 28. The content of the ISP is determined on a binding form.
3. The title of the dissertation and its content is determined according to Article 28 paragraph 3 and is added to the ISP.
4. Pedagogical practice, primarily used to develop presentation skills, can be part of the content of the ISP doctoral student in the full-time form of study.
5. Changes in the ISP or in the study of the study program may represent in particular:
   1. change of the ISP content – the proposed change in the ISP is authorized by the chairman of the ORO based on the trainer's proposal in connection with the specification of the ISP,
   2. change of the ISP timetable (extension of study) – permitted by the dean on the basis of a request recommended by the supervisor and the head of the training workplace; the supervisor attaches a proposal for adjusting the ISP schedule, approved by the ORO chairman,
   3. interruption of studies - permitted by the dean on the basis of the doctoral student's request discussed with the supervisor and the head of the training workplace,
   4. change of study form – permitted by the dean on the basis of a request recommended by the supervisor and head of the training workplace; the trainer attaches a proposal to modify the ISP, approved by the ORO,
   5. change of supervisor – permitted with the consent of the ORO dean based on the request of a doctoral student or supervisor.
6. Changes according to paragraph 5 letter a) are submitted by the supervisor in agreement with the doctoral student, changes according to paragraph 5 letters b) to d) are possible only on the basis of a written request from the doctoral student addressed to the dean.
7. ISP respects standard study time.
8. Part of the student's obligations in the doctoral study program is to complete a study at a foreign institution for at least one month or other forms of direct participation of the student in international cooperation, in particular participation in an international creative project with results published or presented abroad. Studying at a foreign institution can be recognized for the fulfillment of this obligation even if it preceded enrollment in a doctoral study program.
