Doctoral study programme Intelligent Transport Systems (I) is focused on scientific research and independent creative activity of PhD students, especially in the areas of: Transport Telematics, Intelligent Transport Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Telematics, Use of Satellite Communications and Global Navigation Systems, Transport Management, Control Systems, Safety and Reliability of Transport Systems, Computer Science, Advanced Data Processing Methods, Databases, Information Security, Human-Machine Interaction in Transport Systems, Modern Mobility, Systems for Supporting Autonomous Driving.
The study is oriented in such a way that students have the opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge for their concrete scientific work by solving scientific research tasks under the guidance of a supervisor. Students are prepared to deal with complex analytical and decision-making processes in the field of transport systems and technology at the current level of knowledge.
Graduates will find employment in creative problem solving in transport systems and technology at research and development and university departments. They will also find employment as top experts in complex solutions of transport systems, in the creation and organisation of intelligent transport systems and their elements, in design institutions and in the state administration, in leading professional positions for solving transport systems issues and in management positions in industrial companies, especially in development and research departments. They are able to develop basic or applied research at technical faculties, research organisations or institutes of Czech Academy of Sciences and at foreign research institutes.
