Characteristic

The Laboratory of Transportation Systems Safety is a part of the Department of Transportation Systems. The activities of the laboratory are focused on project oriented education in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, which deal with topics related to safety of transportation in particular.

The objective of the laboratory is to centralize instrumentation (sound level meters, radars, digital distance meters, etc.) in order to provide better maintenance, greater efficiency and usability of individual devices.

The previously mentioned technical equipment serves as a significant tool of support for scientific research activities of the staff of the Department of Transportation Systems and PhD students.

While dealing with important projects the expert team, which forms the basis of the laboratory, managed to establish a close cooperation with state administration, local authorities and commercial organizations.
