Abstract:
In the course students will get theoretical knowledge and practical experience in optical strain measurement methods. Students will get experience with use of laboratory cameras, DSLRs and high speed cameras for acquisition of suitable image data and with digital image correlation algorithms for displacements measurements and strain fields calculation.
Objectives:
Knowledge and experience in strain measurement methods, knowledge of prerequisities and limitations of contact and contactless methods od strain measurements. Knowledge of requirements on scene, record synchronisation and image data preprocessing. Overview of digital correlation algorithms and available software tools for optical strain evaluation.
