Applied Information Systems and Technologies in Transportation

Abstract:
Join our traffic information systems project. We have a particular focus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools that can analyse large volumes of data, predict traffic trends and optimise traffic flows. We offer you the opportunity to address a wide range of topics that focus on the design and creation of innovative information systems for transportation applications. You can work on system design using relational databases, big data processing (NoSQL), or application programming for PC and mobile platforms. If you are interested in how technology can make life easier for people with limited mobility, or how to identify and locate road users, this project is for you. Discover modern technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), iBeacon and other smart technologies that have huge potential in transport. Learn how to connect the world around us and create systems that improve the safety and efficiency of transport. You can also focus on ride- and vehicle-sharing systems that reduce traffic congestion and emissions, or parking management systems that help drivers find available parking spaces and optimize parking utilization. Another area of interest is predictive maintenance of transport infrastructure, which uses data and algorithms to predict and prevent failures. Join us and be part of the team that is shaping the future of transportation systems.
