Applied urban engineering

Abstract:
The goal of the project is to acquaint students with new approaches to urban engineering and to involve students as their colleagues in cooperation on specific topics of urban engineering in practice. The goal of the project is to focus on the connection of those sectors that relate mainly to technical, economic-technical, transport engineering, design, environmental and urban planning with an urban outlook. To meet the activities and goals for sustainable development of municipalities and cities, new knowledge will be used in the technical and technological infrastructure through simulations in VISSIM, AIMSUN, LISA +, surveys, calculations, standards and methodologies. An integral part of the activities is the development and acquaintance with design software such as ACAD in 2D and 3D, especially the future development in BIM designs of urban engineering. These tools are essential support for applied approaches in sustainable mobility, infrastructure, over ground and underground networks, links to public transport, tunnel construction, public lighting, traffic management, safety and other new technologies and their applications. Within the project, it is possible to participate in scientific research activities, solving grants, but also specific practical tasks.
