The Faculty of Transportation Sciences will undertake the project "Comprehensive Traffic Survey of Prague Ruzyně Airport."

The Mobile Laboratory for Traffic Analysis, in collaboration with the Department of Transport Engineering, has secured a project focused on a detailed analysis of traffic around Václav Havel Airport. The aim of the project is to obtain key information about the traffic situation in this area and to optimize the airport's transport system and its connection to the surroundings.

The project includes a comprehensive traffic survey of the public part of the airport, focusing on all aspects of transportation, including pedestrian flows and individual car traffic. Additionally, there is a survey of traffic intensities on the communication network around the airport, an analysis of the use of roads in the surrounding municipalities for airport access, and a detailed parking survey, including the occupancy of individual parking lots and their turnover.

An important part of the project is monitoring airport taxi traffic and analyzing public transport operations to the airport, focusing on the load of individual stops and connections. In addition to passengers, the movement of airport employees and companies associated with the entire area is also monitored.

This extensive traffic survey will provide important data for improving the transport infrastructure around the airport, increasing the efficiency of public transport, and optimizing parking capacities. The results of the study will be used to design future traffic measures and improve the transportation of both passengers and airport employees.
