Prague (Level III. Growing or persistent community transmission)
We have to switch to CONTACTLESS teaching immediately. Your teachers will inform you about the form of your lessons by email as soon as possible. The contactless teaching timetable is same as a standard schedule for the winter semester YA 2020/2021.
Dear students, on behalf of Dean of the Faculty Pavel Hrubeš, let me inform you about the new Rector's Order No. 16/2020 (in Czech available here), specifying the rules for the operation of CTU according to the scale of emergency arising from the current epidemiological situation.
According the above mentioned Rector’s Order No. 16/2020 no changes are currently planned at our Faculty level neither in the organisation of the exam period for the 2019/2020 academic year, nor in the beginning and organisation of the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.
The beginning of the winter semester is planned in the standard way!
The cancelation of the academic ceremonies of Matriculation and Graduation and emphasis on stricter preventive hygiene measures are implemented to reduce the spread of COVID19 and to support this goal.
The Rector's Order No. 16/2020 is designed in accordance with the methodology introduced by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, ie the measures are divided into four levels, corresponding to the currently valid epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic.
The current level for Prague is level II (beginning community transfer in the Czech Republic), so teaching is still possible.
There will be a full switch to online teaching according to the instructions from The Rector's Order No. 16/2020 in case of a negative evolvement to the level III (increasing or persistent community transmission in the Czech Republic) or upon the Dean’s decision with regard to deterioration of situation at the Faculty of Transportation Sciences.
Please pay close attention to the current status information at the CTU or FTS web sites.
The approved form of communication is also an email, so it is necessary to monitor it regularly for a specific message about the current situation of teaching from your teachers or additional messages from the Department of External Relations.
Finally, allow us to reiterate it is our personal responsibility to adhere to all implemented measures in order to protect the health of all of us.
Wishing you a successful study, on behalf of Dean of the Faculty doc. Pavel Hrubeš
