Characteristic

The Laboratory of Navigation and Identification Systems (E-IDENT) was founded in November 2008 within the project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a workplace for research projects in the field of telecommunications and intelligent transportation systems. In this laboratory students have the opportunity to become acquainted with real projects in the field of telematics and telecommunications.

In addition, the laboratory deals with space technologies and geographic information systems (GIS).

Examples of projects carried out in the e-Ident laboratory:

  • Certification of GNSS devices and applications.
  • “DOTEK” – the transport-telematics communication module. This communication module ensures the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the accessibility and signal quality of individual wireless networks and communication of individual telematics applications.
  • Universal telematics mobile unit (“UTBM-OBU“). It is a universal platform which enables operation of multiple telematics applications in one device without interference.
