Abstract:
Fare collection systems in public transport and their components (on-board units, validators, turnstiles, ...). Information systems and their components for users (timetables, maps, panels ...) and operators (cycles, location or current delay of vehicles, ...). The issue of tariff systems. Other examples of clearance systems (parking).
Objectives:
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the fare collection and information systems. Students will learn about general principles of these systems, the specific technical solutions to all individual components, but also on related legislation and certification. Students can also try to control the real systems.
