Acceptable Types of Transport in Cities

Abstract:
Transport service of urban complexes - proposal of new transport routes, transport connection of shopping centers, industrial areas and railway stations. Traffic layout in historical town centers. Design of residential streets and zones 30. Optimizing of thoroughfares in municipalities. Arrangement of urban roads cross-sections. One-way streets. Crossroads and junctions - suitability of particular types, analysis and proposal of crossroads, analysis of crossroads using traffic models, design of traffic lights and its coordination. Parking policy - parking in residential areas, traffic and parking organization in closed areas. Application of traffic calming elements. Safety of non-motorized transport - pedestrian crossings, safety routes to school for children, bicycle ways and routes. Wheelchair accessible routes - arrangements for disabled and sightless persons. Public mass transport - concept of urban public transport system, information system.
