Human Factor in Aviation

Abstract:
The project focuses on monitoring and evaluating factors based on monitoring the psychophysiological state of aviation specialists (especially pilots) and their performance. The project is therefore focused on the human factor in aviation, with a primary focus on pilots (but not to a limited extent) and their performance, training and current psychophysiological condition. The project addresses topics based on monitoring physiological functions, reaction times, the development of training and performance of aviation specialists, as well as the design of appropriate mathematical methods for evaluating this data. The project also addresses topics related to the use of virtual and augmented reality in aviation. The project is intended for students interested in data analysis using mathematical and statistical methods for the purpose of putting these factors that could have a negative impact on air traffic safety into context, especially with regard to the human factor. The project coordinator is Dr. Lenka Hanáková.
