About Department

The Department of Applied Informatics provides education in all informatics subjects in the bachelor's and post-graduate stages of study, both in the common part (programming basics, work with AutoCAD, database and information systems) and for individual specializations (automation and control, advanced programming in Python and C/C++, modelling, data processing).

Within the framework of project-based learning, we manage to supervise bachelor's and master's theses in cooperation with CS-Soft, a company that deals with software development for aviation; students work on practical topics directly according to the company's specifications. Among the defended, high-quality theses we can mention the following:

  • Marián Pánis: Use of Flight Data for an Application Displaying Current Position and Flight Routes (bachelor thesis, 2021)
  • Anu Bataa: Prediction of Reaching Significant Points in Flight Trajectory (Bachelor's thesis, 2022)
  • Marián Pánis: Comprehensive Evaluation of NM B2B Flight Data Accuracy (Master's thesis, 2023)
