The Transportation Systems Safety Laboratory is part of the Department of Transport Engineering and Transportation Planning. The activities of the laboratory are aimed at supporting project-oriented learning in undergraduate and graduate degree programmes that focus primarily on topics related to transportation safety.

The aim of the laboratory is to concentrate the equipment (noise meters, radars, digital distance meters, etc.) in order to improve the management, efficiency and usability of the individual devices. Furthermore, the Department uses the above-mentioned technical equipment as an important support for the scientific research of the staff of the Department of Transport engineering and transport planning, as well as of PhD students.

The expert team, which forms the core of the laboratory, has established a close cooperation with the state administration, the municipal sphere and commercial organizations while solving important projects.
