What will be the impact on logistics of the upcoming trade agreement between the United States and the European Union? What are the challenges of trans-border transportation between Mexico and the United States of America? Students participating in the project will learn basics of scientific work that they will use not only later in their studies but also while working on their Bachelor thesis.
Department of Smart Cities and Regions
The student project Smart and Resilient Cities is an integral part of the Dual Masters Degree Program SC – Smart Cities, which is a joint effort of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences (CTU FTS) and The University of Texas at El Paso, TX, USA (UTEP). Besides the core focus on Smart Cities, the student project emphasizes transatlantic collaboration between the EU and the US. The main aim of the student project is to find a scientifically sound diploma thesis topic and elaborate this topic into a publishable diploma thesis. The students have two diploma thesis supervisors, one from CTU FTS and one from UTEP. The UTEP supervisor is assigned to the students based on the selected diploma thesis topic during the first year of their studies at CTU FTS. The UTEP supervisor will oversee the finalization of the diploma thesis during the second year of studies at UTEP.
