This project associates the entire spectrum of operational activities in aviation. Our goal is to apply modern technologies and innovative procedures to enhance operations. Project air transport operations cover all aspects of civil aviation operations like flight training, flight planning and procedures or environmental aspects. Here follow examples of the solved topics: Air crew licensing according to Part-FCL, Contrails influence on the Earth´s radiative balance, Monitored approach concept, Air rescue service in the Czech Republic, ULD tracking optimization, Business jet operations and its meteorological aspects, Space weather, Aircraft leasing and many more. All students may fully use all equipment of The air transport laboratory. The project supervisor is assoc. prof. Ing. Jakub Hospodka Ph.D.

Annotation:

In this project, we address all operational and economic aspects of air transportation. The topics are very diverse - just a small sample for demonstration - alternative fuels in aviation, meteorology, space weather, operational documentation, training, optimization in aviation, aviation economics, aviation law, air cargo transportation, interoperability, the impact of air transportation on the environment, flight automation, operational procedures for commercial air transportation, air rescue services, general aviation aircraft operations, aviation work, space technologies, and many others. We deal with both commercial air transportation and general aviation or air rescue services. Our topics cover general subjects such as the perspective of electric propulsion or unmanned aircraft operations, but also very specific and detailed matters, such as a specific procedure for installing a new device into a particular type of aircraft or a change in the operating manual of a particular operator. Therefore, the focus is very broad and covers all aspects of air transportation that do not have their own project. We welcome proposals for topics from practice in the project. The coordinator of the project is Doc. Ing. Jakub Hospodka Ph.D.
