Objectives The paper aims to observe the passengers ́ attitude towards modal choice regarding the rail factor, a possible preference of the rail-based public transport modes in otherwise similar transport supply conditions. The existence of the rail factor is surveyed regarding the tolerance of the passengers towards the expected longer station approach times or travel times with the regional railway line to be reintroduced in comparison to the existing regional bus lines. Approach Before the reintroduction of the railway line no. 113 Most - Lovosice, an online survey with the passengers along the line was conducted. The respondents were asked about modal choices regarding their requirements on the operation frequency and conditions of a possible change in favor of rail-based modes. Results The respondents found the train more comfortable, and it is likely to be chosen for the unspecified general journey. However, the regional train should not be considerably slower than the competing bus should the passengers switch in favor of the train. Contribution The collected SP data combined with the RP data (transport survey) form the basis for a determination of the rail factor role in regional transport as shown with the case study of the reintroduced line no. 113.

The article is focused on the frequently discussed topic of suburban and regional railway system modernization comparing different approaches to consider by local authorities. To make a precedent and to better contribute to practical problems, a middle-sized city of Olomouc (Czechia) is chosen to demonstrate the upgraded regional transport system design with respect to the regional specifics and utilizing of the current railway and tramway infrastructure. With a new, innovative approach to the potential tram-train implementation in the Olomouc Region, the technical and operational features of the current tram-train systems and vehicles are analysed. By implementing the most suitable ones, the regional tram-train system proposal in the conditions of Olomouc may serve as a guide for similar planned systems in the countries with limited legislative and technical experience regarding the tram-train systems (especially in Central Europe), their suitability for the region, their design, and introduction. For the qualitative assessment of the different relevant approaches, a comparative analysis is used. As a result of the analysis, a tram-train system is recommended for the further transport plan-ning stages as it significantly improves both urban and suburban public transport in the Olomouc Region by increasing their average speed and accessibility. For better financial and technical implementation, the project is divided into several stages. Unlike the already presented solutions, it combines shorter travel times of the regional rail and the populated area coverage reached by regional buses and serves as both an attractive and financially sane extension of a regional public transport system.

Plán dopravní obslužnosti města Uherské Hradiště na období let 2024–2028 byl zpracován jako závazný koncepční dokument na základě zákona č. 194/2010 Sb. Jedná se o historicky první dopravní plán, kterým město Uherské Hradiště formuluje své záměry v oblasti veřejné dopravy. Prezentovaný Plán dopravní obslužnosti města představuje jak širší dopravní vazby města regionální a dálkovou dopravou, tak i aspekty ovlivňující mobilitu obyvatelstva ve městě a novou koncepci MHD ve městě. Zejména nová koncepce MHD představuje revoluční počin ve veřejné dopravě na území města, neboť po mnoha letech zásadně mění koncepci linkového vedení i rozsah dopravní obslužnosti jednotlivých částí města. Datová základna pro sběr dat o mobilitě v rámci města vznikala na základě řady průzkumů v letech 2018–2019. Plán dopravní obslužnosti dále představuje záměry a požadavky na úpravu infrastruktury a nových zastávek na území města. Plán dopravní obslužnosti dále popisuje dopravní a tarifní provázanost městského dopravního systému se systémem veřejné dopravy Zlínského kraje.

The paper describes several characteristics of transport demand in regional passenger transport and its changes over certain periods of day and week in post-pandemical time with respect to different public transport modes.With the transport survey conducted in October 2021 in the Lovosice Area, Czech Republic, the demand characteristics such as the extent of the morning and afternoon peak hours are demonstrated. In the first part, the daily variation for a standard workday in the network’s busiest section is analyzed. In the following part,weekly variation for working days is discussed. The paper is concluded with the regional and seasonal specifics of the weekly passenger variation during weekends.

Realizace 5-denního sčítání cestujících na vybraných linkách veřejné dopravy (autobusy, vlaky), sumarizace výstupů, tvorba kartogramů. Sumarizace dat zaměřená na sběr analytických podkladů pro řešení úloh dopravního chování, volby dopravního prostředku a ověření významu tzv. drážního faktoru. Předložená zpráva shrnuje výsledky II. etapy přepravního průzkumu uskutečněného na regionálních autobusových a železničních linkách DÚK v oblasti tratě č. 113 (tzv. Švestková dráha). Tento průzkum navazuje na první etapu provedenou na podzim 2019, přičemž zohledňuje situaci s nově zavedenou železniční linkou U10 (Litoměřice ˜–) Lovosice – Most.

This article deals with describing the key parameters of regional public transport demand in the Lovosice Area, Czech Republic. It specifically deals with the issue of daily variation, the ratio of transport demand in peak and off-peak hours and the modal ratio. The second part presents the demand characteristics collected in the Lovosice area. Among these, a daily variation of the suburban bus and train line is analyzed and compared. This analysis is followed by recommendations for vehicle optimization based on the highest peak hour occupancy. In addition, the system split of the parallel routed regional public transport modes with its influencing factors on demand distribution is discussed.

The idea of connecting the two of the closest urban and suburban rail-based public transport systems was proposed more than 40 years ago and it boasts a proclaimed support from the regional authorities. However, many of the systems either did not achieve their goals or became financially inefficient as they replaced the conventional railway systems in a wider range than it had initially been planned. That resulted in an inappropriate competition between the public transportation modes. This paper aims to define the prerequisites needed for the establishment of a successful, both financially and operationally sane tram-train system as a substantial part of the regional railway network An analysis of the various current tram-train systems in the selected European cities is made and special attention is paid to their distinctive features including the offered capacity, density, technical compatibility, and operational aspects. Using the conclusions of the analysis and the current technical and operational requirements to be met, a recommendation for the design and organization of the planned tram-train lines and networks is stated, which may help the transport planners design such costly systems in a way it can use its overall advantages in favor of the passengers and an increase of the public transportation modal share.

Souhrn časových okrajových podmínek pro tvorbu provozního konceptu pro Rychlá spojení - zařazení připravovaných staveb do horizontů realizace 2030, 2040 a 2050. Souhrn časových okrajových podmínek (taktových uzlů a systémových jízdních dob) na základě krajských Plánů dopravní obsluhy území, popř. dalších koncepčních dokumentů, včetně známých časových okrajových podmínek v blízkém příhraničí. Souhrnné schéma těchto okrajových podmínek a předpokládaných systémových jízdních dob na základě předběžné konstrukce jízdního řádu mezi Prahou, Brnem, Ostravou, Olomoucí a Jihlavou.

Zevrubná analýza vysokorychlostních železničních provozních konceptů v 6 evropských zemích (Rakousko, Německo, Benelux, Francie, Itálie a Španělsko) s různými přístupy k tvorbě nabídky spojů. Z podkladových jízdních řádů byla shromážděna dobrá praxe, která je v různé míře přenositelná do systému Rychlých spojení v ČR. Analýza je doplněna rozsáhlými přílohami ve formě síťového schématu linek, četností a přípojných vazeb, případně tabelárních jízdních řádů vysokorychlostních spojů.

Výsledek CK01000004-V7 sestává ze dvou částí - Analýza výchozího linkového vedení na RS a Analýza harmonogramu otevírání trhu veřejných služeb v dálkové železniční dopravě. V prvním případě byl analyzován pracovní návrh vedení dálkových linek na Rychlých spojeních vypracovaný Ministerstvem dopravy a Správou železnic. K jednotlivým linkám byly přiřazeny stavby RS a související, s předpokládaným časovým horizontem realizace. V druhém dokumentu byly analyzovány vhodné provozní soubory současných dálkových linek a vliv realizace RS na konzistenci těchto provozních souborů.

Abecední seznam vysvětlivek použitých zkratek a tématicko-abecední slovník odborných a legislativních pojmů, používaných v dalších výsledcích projektu. Jde o pomocný výsledek a společnou "externí přílohu" dalších výsledků projektu. Je označen jako verze 2020, neboť velmi pravděpodobně dojde v průběhu dalšího řešení projektu k jeho rozšíření a aktualizaci. Pokud je to možné, jsou uvedeny zdroje jednotlivých pojmů.

The article deals with the differences of the stated preferences regarding the public perception of the rail-based and other public transport modes called rail factor. It summarizes the results of the sociologic study conducted along the disused regional railway line No. 113 Lovosice – Most shortly before its reintroduction. The existence of the so-called rail factor is observed within the tolerance rate towards worse approach possibilities or longer travel times for a regional railway line in comparison to regional bus lines. The last part of the article deals with the desired operation frequency and the passengers´ willingness to change their transport habits concerning the actual public transport modal supply.

Síťové schéma se zobrazením funkčních vrstev (segmentů) a četnosti obsluhy a taktových uzlů, případně směrových přípojných vazeb, s rozlišením na pravidelné (taktové) a nepravidelné. Obsahem schématu je souhrnný návrh síťový návrh (vertikálně i horizontálně) integrovaného taktového provozního konceptu dálkové a regionální obsluhy území veřejnou drážní dopravou (společného pro více objednatelů), vzniklý na základě aplikace certifikované metodiky TJ01000162_V2, a to pro krátkodobý výhled na základě Plánů obsluhy území. Byly stanoveny taktové uzly a přípojné vazby, četnosti obsluhy pro jednotlivé segmenty a úseky mezi uzly včetně přibližných časových poloh.
