The Dean is the chief representative of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences at CTU in Prague in relation to other faculties of universities in the Czech Republic and abroad, to public institutions and government bodies, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the business sector, and the public. The Dean is responsible to the Rector of CTU for the faculty's educational and scientific activities.
The Vice-Deans represent the Dean within the scope determined by the Dean in specific areas of activity. The Dean appoints one of the Vice-Deans as the Deputy Dean to fully represent him during his absence.
The Treasurer manages the faculty's finances and internal administration within the scope determined by the Dean's directive. The Treasurer ensures the management of the faculty's resources in accordance with special regulations, internal regulations of CTU and the faculty, and in accordance with the rules for the creation and management of the faculty's budget. The Treasurer heads the Dean's Office and manages its activities in all areas, except where the Dean specifies otherwise. The Treasurer is appointed and dismissed by the Dean based on a selection process.
The Dean's Collegium is a permanent academic advisory body, whose members include the Dean, Vice-Deans, Secretary, and the Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences, as well as other employees appointed by the Dean.
