The aim of the project is to develop an original, generally applicable methodology for efficient and cost-effective multi-year planning of railway capacity on main lines with mixed traffic, with a periodic core of stable timetable routes for (commercial and publicly ordered) passenger transport and with time windows for predominantly flexible capacity allocation for freight traffic, with emphasis on elimination of redundant train stops and transfer of the remaining stops to the stations efficient in terms of capacity and energy, while respecting the requirements of the TTR initiative and the forthcoming European Regulation 2023/0271 on the use of rail capacity in the single European railway area. The distribution of time reserves will take into account the cyclical maintenance of the line. The methodology will be applied in the original draft of the capacity model for the Railway Administration, state organization for the Prague - Brno and Prague - Ostrava corridors.

The aim of this project is to formulate a generally usable methodology for design of network-wide operational concept of long-distance train lines on Rapid Services network and, in particular,on adjoining railway lines. The accordance with actual legislative will be ensured. The methodology will include layout of train lines into homogeneous and efficient passenger operations packages, where each one can be operated by another train operating company. The methodology will combine application of mathematical rules of Integrated Periodic Timetable with restricting conditions, derived from coordinated timetabling of more train lines of different segments. The operational concept, based on the methodology, will be used for official Public Transport Conception. Line packaging will be done as well.

Creation of a certified methodology for orderers of public railway transport service, with the goal of harvesting of potential synergistic effects between different hierarchical service layers (segments) for planning of efficient operational concept, based on the principle of Integrated Periodic Timetable. The methodology will consider adequacy of service, related to transport demand, which is expectable in given area. Efficiency of rolling stock utilization will be considered as well.

Předmětem projektu je hodnocení intenzity vlivů plynoucích ze změněné propojenosti metropolitních center s ostatními centry různých úrovní (regionální a lokální) a periferních (příhraničních i vnitřních) území. Zvláštní pozornost musí být věnována vlivu změny dopravní obslužnosti území a dostupnosti metropolí na pracovní trh a proměnu obslužných funkcí vyššího řádu v rámci ČR i v mezinárodním kontextu. Smyslem projektu je využití nové metodiky pro kvantifikaci vlivu systému Rychlých spojení na metropolitní oblasti a jednotlivé územní jednotky, tj. identifikovat předpokládané beneficiery, kteří z realizace Rychlých spojení budou profitovat. Současně bude možné pomocí metodiky identifikovat možná rizika, jimž budou některé oblasti a územní jednotky vystaveny, případně také navrhnout opatření vedoucí k jejich eliminaci.

Integrated Periodic Timetable (IPT) occurs increasingly in European railway passenger transport (including Czech Republic), which in cooperation with freigt transport generates in specific places and times so-called infrastructure bottlenecks. Interaction of passenger and freight traffic (mainly in future outlook) causes conflicts between the requirements of railway infrastructure capacity and features of infrastructure, especially taking account of irregularities (delays). The result is either a lower quality (insufficient stability) in operation concept (including freight traffic) or it's absolutely impossible to create such including delays operation concept. The aim of this project is to verify the procedure for implementation and check the real railway capacity of IPT-nodes with the inclusion of passenger and freight transport, including the effects of irregularities in operation. Also the possible infrastructure modifications as a result of coordination between transport irregula

Švýcarský přístup byl rozšířen o požadavek průjezdného napojení každé trasy v uzlu Praha-Malešice do obou navazujících směrů (s jedinou výjimkou splněn). Projekt úzce souvisí s řešením navrhovatelovy dizertační práce. Výsledky budou prezentovány na mezinárodním sympoziu EURO-Žel 2009, které se koná 3. - 4. 6. 2009 v Žilině.
