Annotation:
Analysis of the historical and current importance of regional railways. Investigating the validity of the passengers inflow theory by analysis of concrete traffic relations in different regions. Legislative, political and economic possibilities of the existing regional railway lines utilization. Searching the system for assessing the significance of railway lines. Analysis of the railway lines importance in relation to the territory operated by them. Possibility of a new system of rail transport in the Czech Republic (tram-train) introducing. Analysis of their technical, technological and legislative specifics in relation to their feasibility in selected regions of the Czech Republic.
