Cílem projektu je podpořit implementaci Urban Air Mobility (UAM) v České republice navržením způsobů jejího začlenění do systému dopravní obsluhy hlavního města Prahy, a to za podpory konceptu a myšlenek Chytrých měst (Smart Cities), a se zhodnocením očekávaných dopadů. Dílčími cíli projektu jsou: a) vymezit možnost uplatnění UAM v koncepci Smart Cities; b) identifikovat příležitosti v současném dopravním systému hlavního města Prahy a přijatelné principy provozu UAM v rámci prostředí ČR; c) navrhnout dopravní toky UAM a integrovat je do současného dopravního systému; d) vytvořit případovou studii navrhované integrace a e) provést analýzu dopadů zavedení jednotlivých částí UAM.

Annotation:
The mobility ecosystem is rapidly evolving, whereby we see the rise of new stakeholders and services. Examples of these are the presene of connected and automated vehicles, a large group of organisations that rally to establish various forms of share mobility, with the pinnacle being all of these incorporated into a large Maas ecosystem. As these new forms of mobility offerings start to appear within cities, so do the new ways in which data are being generated, collected, and stored. Analysing this (Big) data with suitable (artificial intelligence) techniques becomes more paramount, as it leads to insights in the performance of certain mobility solutions, and is able to highlight (mobility) needs of citizens in a broader context, in addition to a rise in new risks and various socio-economic impacts.

Principal Investigator:

The project is devoted to the historical development of the theory of geometric probability and its applications in the Czech lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Besides the analysis and evaluation of scientific contributions, above all those of E. Czuber and B. Hostinský, the project is also aimed at educational treatises and textbooks. History of this theory has not yet been systematically elaborated; moreover, in the present school education, this theory is omitted in spite of exceptionally wide applications in many domains of our lives, from medicine and biology to material engineering. However, still at the beginning of the 20th century, geometric probability was included in the secondary school education. The contribution to its history also helps to show the usefulness and importance of mathematics. The aim of the project is therefore to fill in a clear space in the history of science, and to contribute to the development of education and popularization of science.

The aim of the project is to provide a detailed analysis and evaluation of the work of Czech philosophers of the 19th and 20th centuries, and to use this background in order to discuss various philosophical interpretations of probability, to highlight their importance and relevance for the present time and to outline the possibilities of the further development.

The objective of the project is an innovation of the course Game theory and optimal decisions to utilize its potential to connect technical, mathematical and humanities education of students. Due to extraordinarily rich application possibilities of the theory of games, its teaching represents an outstanding opportunity to motivate students to study mathematics, and – which is substantial for this project – provides the students an effective introduction to various branches of social sciences and humanities. The project is aimed at the methodology of teaching, which would enable to carry out the mentioned innovation. On the basis of this methodology, appropriate study materials will be created: an interactive study text and significantly extended collection of exercises and problems. These materials will be available for all interested at the web page of the course.
