Anotace:
Agricultural machines nowadays use advanced satellite guidance systems that allow not only autonomous parallel guidance of machinery on the field but also enable the control of agriculture implements based on the geographical location of the field. By using aerial photogrammetry images, it is possible to identify the spots of land that require chemical protection. This information can be used to create prescription maps for the control of specialised implements, allowing the identification of weed outbreaks that require herbicide for their elimination. Using spot-spraying technologies, up to 80% of the active substance can be saved compared to the current common broadcast strategy of applying it to the entire field. This technology automatically controls the sprayer nozzles on the booms only in the spots where it is needed. Using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) allows us to take a detailed picture of the ground. Two main possibilities exist for collecting imagery data with an RGB or multispectral camera. One of the key requirements is the appropriate resolution of the picture, which could be controlled by flying altitude. This paper focuses on comparing RGB and multispectral gathered data toward affected spot identification.

Anotace:
This study aims to evaluate the viability of hydrogen fuel cell (FC) technology as a range extender in powered two-wheelers (PTWs), focusing on choosing efficient FC size and under a time-limited, constant power delivery FC control strategy. The analysis presented in this study sheds light on the feasibility of hydrogen FC technology as an alternative energy source for mobility applications. In this study, a 1D powertrain simulation model was created, which enables the efficient analysing of both fundamental and advanced behaviour of individual vehicle subsystems and control strategies, even at the early conceptual design phase. The simulation results show that hydrogen FCs are a promising technology for range extension in urban mobility.

Anotace:
Due to growing concerns about the climate change situation, an increasing number of restrictions are being introduced. One of them is the shift towards smaller and lighter vehicles that are less demanding to produce, operate, and subsequently recycle. These are specifically L6 and L7 vehicles (four-wheelers called quadricycles). In addition, even for these vehicles, there is an attempt to make their operation even more environmentally sustainable by introducing government regulations on the powertrain, which will have to be purely electric from 2035. However, the growing popularity of these vehicles has one major drawback: safety. In the framework of the urban electric vehicle project located at the Faculty of Transportation Sciences, CTU in Prague, from the already mentioned category, safety is one of the main topics we want to address. This paper discusses the passive safety of quadricycles and the role of FEM simulations throughout the design and development phase of vehicles. The main objective is to validate the main frame of the developed vehicle at an extensive range of impact velocities. In this way, the behavior of the proposed front crumple zone design and their roles in frontal impact can be determined. The metrics to be monitored are, for example, the maximum accelerations on the structure in each part of the frontal crumple zone or the preservation of the survival space.

Anotace:
The world is gradually moving towards green solutions in all industries. This is the case in the automotive industry as well and it is logical that vehicle simulators must follow this trend and functionally approach the increasingly widespread battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The differences in the parameters of vehicle simulators with alternative powertrains have already been covered. This paper deals with the modification of both the simulator hardware and software to improve the behavior of the physical vehicle model, representing all functions through a programmable human machine interface (HMI) and providing an approximation of the driving experience of a real vehicle. The topic of this paper first describes the functional scheme and physical model of the simulator adapted for HMI simulations of BEVs and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). A prototype design of the virtual cockpit is also described. Then, the design of the experiment is explained to validate the displayed and recorded values through a qualitative study by pilot testing on a vehicle simulator. A discussion of the measured results is concluded.

Anotace:
The present paper focuses on vehicle simulator fidelity, particularly the effect of motion cues intensity on driver performance. The 6-DOF motion platform was used in the experiment; however, we mainly focused on one characteristic of driving behavior. The braking performance of 24 participants in a car simulator was recorded and analyzed. The experiment scenario was composed of acceleration to 120 km/h followed by smooth deceleration to a stop line with prior warning signs at distances of 240, 160, and 80 m to the finish line. To assess the effect of the motion cues, each driver performed the run three times with different motion platform settings-no motion, moderate motion, and maximal possible response and range. The results from the driving simulator were compared with data acquired in an equivalent driving scenario performed in real conditions on a polygon track and taken as reference data. The driving simulator and real car accelerations were recorded using the Xsens MTi-G sensor. The outcomes confirmed the hypothesis that driving with a higher level of motion cues in the driving simulator brought more natural braking behavior of the experimental drivers, better correlated with the real car driving test data, although exceptions were found.

Anotace:
The paper is focused on research in the field of motorcycle simulator controls from therider’s point of view, with a focus on the longitudinal and lateral dynamics of vehicle. The subject ofthe research is the design and testing of a suitable composition of input signals controlled by the riderand their integration into the virtual scene. The design and testing of the communication interfacebetween the HW simulator and the physical model of the motorcycle is mentioned in the paper as well.Furthermore, the work describes the suitable HMI elements of the motorcycle and their integrationoptions into the simulator system. In conclusion of the article, various variants, and approaches forcontrolling the developed motorcycle simulator are discussed, including the possibilities of validatingthe achieved results

Anotace:
Engine or battery powered two-wheeled vehicles are an essential part of the transport system. Its users are however more vulnerable in comparison to personal vehicles. In general, compared to four-wheel vehicles, even a small percentage of accidents including motorcycles causes a significant share of all fatalities in the Czech Republic. Two-wheelers nowadays face the challenge of electric propulsion and wider user adoption. This fact emphasizes the need for rider behavior assessment. One of the ways of examining rider behavior in a safe and scientific environment is an interactive vehicle simulator. In order to develop a complex semi-active motorcycle simulator, a virtual model in Unity platform was created. The main purpose of this paper is to verify the longitudinal dynamics of the physical model for emerging the interactive simulator. To achieve this goal, crucial parameters of the model were set. For validation of the model, we defined several riding scenarios. Based on the data measured during a track test experiment in a real environment, further needed model parameters were indirectly defined. The results show that the output of the longitudinal dynamics model closely correlates with the real data gathered on the track.

Anotace:
Nowadays we are facing the transition from human-driven vehicles to the higher levels of automated driving, where the driver's primary role does not have to be the driving as in its classical meaning. As the driving task would not be the primary, we can expect driver and all passengers to perform new activities while being in the vehicle. In this article we analyse results of four crash tests. One of them has a specific configuration, where the driver crash test dummy is set to the situation of the level four of the automated driving as if were carrying out some activity on the notebook. The research focuses moreover on free objects and the risks that they represent during the accident for passengers. The results of all four tests are mutually compared and discussed to get the idea how the unusual driver position including working activity could influence the impacts on human passengers. Other three configurations represent standard lateral crash test, frontal impact into the rigid barrier and the crash of the motorcycle. The results measured on the rider show extreme situation to which we can compare absolute values of drivers from the rest of analysed crash test. In the assessment we follow the parameters linked to the acting vehicles and of course parameters describing the impacts on drivers.

Urban comfort and safety go along with travel and traffic management for the cities. Facing automatization of transport brings necessity for the ITS solutions to provide efficient communication between vehicles, infrastructure and other traffic participants. Parking in the cities is a daily travel related task. Efficient automated parking solutions can contribute to individual time management as well as to reduction of traffic flow that is connected with parking spot search - especially in big cities. User acceptance of new technologies that arise with automated driving depends on their usability and interface. This paper presents a pilot demonstration of automated parking function with a mobile app interface. Observation of visual behavior (eye tracking) provide analyses of automated parking function and mobile app of modified electric prototype of e-vehicle "Skoda Rapid".

Anotace:
Electric powered motorbikes nowadays rapidly increase ratio across micro-mobility shared services. This trend is in addition supported with smart city development. The electric powered bikes bring specifics for the riders in sense of motorcycle control. Electric powertrain has different complex features that rider has to deal with and it is not primarily trained for. Current research typically copes with challenges such as route planning, travel range, daily recharging etc. Therefore, the research deals not only with external characteristics, but also with internal factors which can be affected by rider. This article aims to the specifics of riding the electric motorcycle compared to the conventional petrol powertrain. It is important to define crucial parameter trends to follow these specifics to increase safety of users and thus the traffic safety in the smart cities.

The aim of the paper is to define the method to objectively evaluate rider behaviour for the future possibilities of modification assessments in the scope of Human Machine Interface. The advantage of the rider performance description is in the possibility of evaluation of applied measures in the rider-motorcycle system. In the paper there are presented techniques and methods of data collection with the focus on the parameters influenced by the rider. The rider and the motorcycle are the inseparable system. The inspiration in this field of study we can find in the motorsport application. The approach for the rider performance assessment is based on the experimental study performed on the race track. The obtained knowledge is applicable for the riding skills improvement as well as for the assessment of powered two wheelers users of micro-mobility smart cities platforms and, above all, for the safety increase.

Diplomová práce se zabývá měřením a analýzou dat jízdní dynamiky silničních závodních motocyklů. V první části práce je uvedena studie systémů používaných pro záznam dat závodních motocyklů, včetně měřených veličin a zaznamenávaných kanálů. Dále je zde uvedena vhodná měřicí technika a také metody využívané při analýze naměřených dat. Cílem práce je návrh a realizace systému pro sběr dat a nástroje na jejich efektivní vyhodnocování dle požadavků fakultního týmu CTU Lions. Navržený systém byl ověřen dvěma experimenty na závodním okruhu ve Vysokém Mýtě a také na okruhu Catalunya ve španělské Barceloně. V závěru práce jsou naměřená data z obou experimentů vyhodnocena. Funkce a možnosti vytvořené aplikace jsou zde představeny na ukázkách specifických situací zaznamenaných během experimentů.

Hlavním cílem studie bylo vytvoření systému měření HMI různých vozidel za použití objektivní a subjektivních metrik a analyzačních nástrojů, který je kompatibilní se systémy měření ve Škoda Auto. Stávající metodika byla obohacena o metody vyhodnocování pohledu a vizuální zátěže uživatele (eye tracking). Funkce systému byly ověřeny na reálném experimentu se zaměřením na řidičovu distrakci. Z výsledku vyplynou doporučení pro budoucí podobu uživatelských rozhraní HMI.

Die Zielgruppe älterer Fahrer - Best Ager wurde durch Fragebogen nach Erkenntnis und Schwierigkeiten in Verbindung mit Autofahrer befragt. Gleichzetig mit Mitteilung des Problems und der Prioritätenzuordnung nach Methodik QFD wurde ergänzende Frage nach eignerer Lösung der Probleme und nach einer idealen Lösung mit Hilfe des Automobils angeschlossen.

Experiment was focused on Voice control testing in 4 different categories. Testing took place from 18.6. to 6.7. and 18 probands in 4 languages in total participated (Czech, English, French and German). The main objective of this experiment was to find all possible variations of voice commands used for selected tasks as well as test the quality of the recent voice control system upgrade, which was designed to make the system more sophisticated by making it recognize even more advanced and longer sentences.

This technical report presents evaluation of the Questionnaire study of the project Easy Driving focused on controlling of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems from the point of view of the Human-Machine Interface with the focus on age groups. In the second part we in genral focus on anylsis of ADAS HMI in practise and further the report analyze problematic elements of controlling the Automatic parking system during practical experiment.
